TESTIMONIALS - FROM THE TRENCHES

junior- "Taking a theater class is by far one of the greatest experiences I have had. Although theater may not be for everyone it sure did show me a lot of life skills and social skills that anyone can encounter on a day to day bases. I found myself more confident in my public speaking abilities. I also learned a very important lesson that my theater teacher Mr. Armstrong had taught me, 'If you have a fear it will hold you back'. These simple words reflected not only in embracing your inner self but it also focused on an important life lesson. This lesson is reflected on taking a risk and if you allow yourself to have fear your limiting yourself to an endless amount of opportunities out there. Overall this was one of the most energetic and fun class I had ever taken. Don’t be afraid of what others will think and don’t limit yourself from succeeding. Try something new!"

junior- "Painting is my favorite class because you do a variety of paintings throughout the year that is really fun. You don’t need to have any experience and you get to learn how to paint eventually."

junior- "I would recommend taking AP Chemistry if you took regular chemistry already. It helps you increase your learning skills and get you ready for college leveled work. It teaches you to try your best so you can succeed. You can also get better at managing your time."

junior- "After finding regular chemistry easy you might want to join AP Chemistry, the class is basically the same as Chemistry except that you go more in-depth with the units. This class can prepare you for many things, it definitely shows you that you really need to manage your time wisely if you plan on doing good on the exam and the class overall. My teacher was Mr.Saadzoi and he prepared us really well providing many different resources that you can use to learn and better understand each unit. Overall it would be a good experience to take this class you’ll learn many different studying tips and might end up finding the best way for you to study and this class prepares you well for college."

sophomore- "I would recommend taking AP Biology because it’ll help you if you’re looking to go into the medical field. We do many labs in class and they help me expand my knowledge and they’re also fun too. My teacher Mrs. Richard is very good at helping us prepare for the exam and for biology classes in college as well."

2015.10.20 CollegeBoard AP Capstone logo

Kennedy Medical Magnet is proud to be one of few selected schools worldwide to offer this rigorous and exciting pathway for our students AP Capstone is an innovative diploma program created by the College Board that equips students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and Communication skills that are increasingly
valued by colleges. AP Capstone is built on the foundation of two AP courses-- AP Seminar and AP Research-- and is designed to complement and enhance the
in-depth, discipline-specific study experienced in other AP courses. Our students will be able to use these skills in their in-depth studies of the areas of medicine that are of
interest to them.
